Norwegian Cruise Line and University of Vermont Named Finalists for 2025 DSE DIZZIE Awards

Denver, CO—Poppulo is proud to announce that two of its customers, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and the University of Vermont (UVM), have been selected as finalists for the 2025 DSE DIZZIE Awards, recognizing excellence in digital signage innovation.

NCL is a finalist in the Hospitality category for its groundbreaking digital signage deployment aboard the Norwegian Aqua, while UVM is a finalist in the Educational Environments category for its modernized, campus-wide digital signage initiative.

The DIZZIE Awards celebrate visionary projects that push the boundaries of digital signage across industries. Being named finalists underscores the impact both Norwegian Cruise Line and the University of Vermont have achieved in leveraging digital signage to connect, inform, and inspire their audiences.

“We’re incredibly proud to see both Norwegian Cruise Line and the University of Vermont recognized as DIZZIE Award finalists,” said Ruth Fornell, CEO at Poppulo. “They both highlight the power of digital signage to transform experiences—whether that’s elevating the journey for cruise guests or creating a more connected and engaged campus community. It’s an honor to support organizations that are setting new standards for innovation in their respective industries.”

Poppulo congratulates both customers for their creativity, leadership, and commitment to communication excellence—and looks forward to celebrating the winners at this year’s awards ceremony in October.

Learn More About Norwegian Cruise Line’s Project:

In March 2025, Norwegian Cruise Line launched its most innovative vessel yet: the Norwegian Aqua. Beyond its architectural design and luxury offerings, Aqua introduced the fleet’s most sophisticated digital signage ecosystem to date, powered by Poppulo.

With over 200 digital signs across public venues, dining areas, entertainment spaces, and crew zones, Aqua redefined how information is delivered at sea. The ship’s digital signage network includes everything from interactive wayfinding kiosks and crew-facing screens, to screens dedicated to disembarkation, full-screen promotions, and more.

Key results include:

  • 107,000+ guest interactions within six months of launch
  • A 75% reduction in time spent on content updates thanks to centralized control
  • 2,100+ excursions booked directly through digital signage
