The New Employee Experience Reality. Hint: The Stakes Have Never Been Higher.

EX Isn’t New. But Why It Matters Now, More than Ever, May Surprise You.

The market didn’t just discover Employee Experience (EX). That conversation started years ago, with capabilities and tools to support and improve it.

What’s changed is the cost of getting it wrong.

Organizations today operate with far less margin for error. Change is constant. Leaders are measured on outcomes—productivity, adoption, performance—not activity. And because engagement remains at historic lows (~20% of employees are engaged at work—this can cost organizations 30% of an employee’s compensation/year in lost productivity. (Gallup). A nightmare for P&L at scale.

Combine this with the fact that internal comms and HR teams are stretched thin, with “lack of time/ capacity” the #1 barrier (Gallagher), with AI of course being brought in to help. Yet, only ~5% report meaningful value from those investments at scale (BCG).

In our Agentic Era, EX isn’t a philosophy. It’s an operating requirement to improve results, and AI alone isn’t the answer if it isn’t connected to how people experience work.

Poppulo Employee Communications is Evolving to Meet this Critical Moment

We’re expanding our vision from Employee Communications and introducing The Poppulo Experience Platform—while continuing to invest deeply in communications as the foundation of experience. We’re not moving away from comms; we’re strengthening it and connecting it directly to outcomes. The Poppulo Experience Platform transforms how Internal Comms and HR leaders align, assure, and activate employees—automatically.

What does this mean for customers?

Customers will see Poppulo Employee Communications evolve in a few clear ways:

  • A new platform name that reflects our expanded focus on Employee Experience
  • Continued innovation across core communications
  • Expanded AI capabilities that automate and assist internal comms and HR’s ability to provide more engaging experiences across the employee lifecycle (such as the ability to receive recommended targeting and simulated results, before an internal campaign is launched, with recommendations for what to improve).
  • New capabilities that provide more channels, employee engagement, and impact—delivering a more modern next-gen approach to the Employee Experience.

What can customers expect—and when?

Changes will roll out progressively, starting this month, beginning with updated naming across sales and marketing materials. Additional innovations will follow through our regular quarterly release cadence.

We’ll also be sharing more at our 2026 POP Summit World Tour, coming to a city near you: Chicago, Palo Alto, London, Boston, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, and Dubai!
