Poppulo attended Engage Business Media’s Engage Internal Communications conference for the first time on Friday, September 15th 2017.
An event in Victoria Park Plaza, London, which saw two conferences taking place side by side (the Internal Communications conference as well as the Evolution of Work conference), the day saw 375 senior level internal communicators and HR professionals enjoy an agenda packed full of high quality case study after case study from the likes of Mercedes Benz, Ovo Energy, CKD, Dr Martens and Centrica, which was co-hosted by Poppulo’s Eoin Cotter.
Centrica, a huge conglomerate with 55,000 employees spread across the UK and Ireland, Israel, USA, Canada and Europe, among others, own a number of separate brands including British Gas, Bord Gais Energy and Direct Energy.
Centrica’s Matt Scott took to the stage along with Poppulo’s Eoin Cotter to demonstrate the evolution of their email channel and show how they have managed to successfully deliver a far more engaging employee experience in the last three years. In 2014, there were significant operational struggles and no tracking system. Gaining email reporting insights through Poppulo meant they were able to track and measure all email performance and gain an insight into employee excellence, thereby increasing their engagement significantly.
High quality event, excellent attendance, heavy with case studies as opposed to the usual mix of keynote speakers, workshops etc. Made for a slightly different but interesting industry event. Definitely one to watch and attend in 2018.
