Huge Interest in Cork’s First rebelCon Tech Conference
Cork’s first IT software conference rebelCon this week is a success even before it starts – huge interest has made it a sell-out.
Underlining Cork’s vibrant and innovative software sector, Friday’s conference will bring together a wealth of industry experience with over 15 national and international speakers taking to two stages throughout the day. Speakers will discuss proven best practices, techniques, and insights into how to build and deliver successful software products.
Conference co-organiser and Director of Engineering at leading Cork software innovator Poppulo, Stephanie Sheehan commented: “It is hugely exciting that the conference has sold out so early, it proves that the tech community here in Cork needed a forum like this. We are very proud at Poppulo to support and facilitate the incredible innovation stemming from technology companies across Cork”.
In addition to the conference itself, the rebelCon crew is hosting an Unconference on Thursday evening 15th June at the BOI workbench. This is a free kickoff event where speakers will vie for votes to deliver 10 minute lightning talks.
Speaking about the event Aidan Casey CTO of DesignWizard said “rebelCon gives us the opportunity to bring the best of the industry’s thought leaders right to the heart of the developer community here in Cork. We are delighted to be part of this fantastic range of events over 2 days.”
The conference, specifically tailored for the software developer community in Cork is due to take place on Friday 16th June 2017 and is sponsored Poppulo (formerly Newsweaver), DesignWizard, IT@Cork Skillnet and RedFM. It will be hosted at the newly opened Republic of Work located on the South Mall. rebelCon will also round out the 2 days of tech events with an afterparty at Deep South on Friday night.
