Poppulo unveils Mark Levy as keynote speaker for Engage 2020 conference

Poppulo today announced the acclaimed employee experience pioneer, Mark Levy, will be a keynote speaker at its annual conference in London next year, Engage 2020.

Mr. Levy famously pioneered the shift from HR to Employee Experience at Airbnb and in the process kick-started a global reevaluation of how organizations prioritize the importance of the entire employee journey. Internal communication, he believes, plays a crucially influential role at every point of the employee experience (EX).

Countless studies equate positive employee experience with superior customer experience and company performance.

Welcoming Mr. Levy's participation at Engage 2020, Poppulo's VP of Marketing, Mairead Maher, said she had long been an admirer of Mark's groundbreaking EX work.

"We're thrilled to have Mark on board for what will be a very exciting Engage 2020," she said. "We're not only huge admirers of him here at Poppulo, but we're also totally aligned with his ethos and philosophy around employee experience and the core influence internal communication plays at every juncture of that journey."

— Mairead Maher, VP of Marketing, Poppulo

Commenting on his involvement with the Poppulo conference, Mr. Levy – who is a Senior Faculty member of the Josh Bersin Academy in addition to being an international EX advisor – said he was looking forward to helping Engage 2020 participants see and value a new way of looking at employee communications through the lens of their employees as customers.

Mr. Levy said he looks forward to sharing stories and examples of how internal comms was able to bring both Airbnb and Allbirds mission and values to life through timely, relevant and inspiring communications, most of which were two way.

“Giving employees a voice and including them to co-create the ways of working across the organization as well as with customers is key to engagement, productivity and delivering on your brand promise.”

— Mark Levy, Engage 2020 keynote speaker

*Engage by Poppulo will take place at etc.venues, County Hall in London 28th - 29th April 2020. Details of other speakers and participants will be announced over the coming months.
